Per SEC Sports: Hoover, AL. - Nine-seed Alabama wins the opening game of the 2025 SEC Baseball Tournament against 16-seed Missouri, 4-1, with an all-around team effort.
Tyler Fay held things down from the mound, tossing a career-high six innings to start off the matchup. He also tied his career high of six strikeouts. Carson Ozmer entered in the ninth and worked out of a one-out, bases-loaded situation to close out the win. It marked his 17th save this season, tied for the tenth most in SEC history.
The Tigers were dancing around Justin Lebron all game, walking him three times. As proof of their avoidance, Lebron still managed a game-tying RBI single in the fourth frame. He's just the fourth Alabama player with three walks and an RBI in an SEC Tournament game, and the first since 2002.
