ESPN's Pete Thamel reports that LSU pitching coach Wes Johnson is finalizing a deal to be the next head coach at Georgia.

Johnson was previously the Minnesota Twins' pitching coach but left his job in the Major League to join LSU's staff last June.

He will probably stay until the season ends. But also you can't fault the guy for taking the job. That's a big get.

Football and now baseball will be championship caliber.

Much higher ceiling in Athens for anyone with class and ambition than they would have in corrupt Baton Rouge.
