LSU Basketball Edged At Texas A&M, 75-72

Per LSU: COLLEGE STATION, Tx. – The LSU men’s basketball team fell to Texas A&M, 75-72, on Saturday afternoon inside the Reed Arena.

With the loss, LSU falls to 12-2 overall, while Texas A&M improves to 11-3 on the season.

The contest was tight from start to finish, but Texas A&M pulled away just enough to clutch the victory.

The Tigers shot 46.3 percent from the floor on 25-of-54 shooting, shot nearly 32 percent from three-point range (6-of-19) and were a solid 16-of-20 at the free throw line. The Aggies shot 41.9 percent from the floor on 26-of-62 shooting, shot nearly 27 percent from three-point range (8-of-28) and were a solid 15-of-21 at the free throw line.

Michael Nwoko earned 21 points on 7-of-10 shots and seven free throws to lead the Tigers. Max Mackinnon scored 20 points on 7-of-18 shots to go with four treys. Rashad King tallied 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting and two threes.

Rashaun Agee was the leading scorer for the Aggies, finishing with 15 points on 4-of-10 shots.

The Tigers are back in action Tuesday, Jan. 6 as they return home to face South Carolina. The game will tip off at 6:00 p.m. CT inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
