Probably not a lot of ACOTAR readers here but for those interested, Sarah J Maas announced publication dates for the next two ACOTAR books on the Call Her Daddy podcast last night:

ACOTAR 6: October 27, 2026
ACOTAR 7: January 12, 2027

She also announced she’s currently writing ACOTAR 8.

ETA: For the folks who are struggling

What the hell is ACOTAR?

When did it become common practice to not spell stuff out on this site?

A Court of Thorn and Roses. It's pretty commonly referred to as ACOTAR by majority of the fans and the author.

Why does this bother you so much? Also, the title has a character limit so I generally go with acronyms.

Because it's fricking stupid.

If you couldn’t figure out what I was talking about by contextual clues, I’m not sure what to tell you.

I have to say, ACOTAR 1 is the only Romantasy book I've ever read. But it was bad enough that I knew that I'd never read another Romantasy book for the rest of my life.

My sister knew I loved fantasy so she told me this was really good bless her heart thinking I would like it. If this is the "good" Romantasy, I can't even imagine the bad.

It's a real struggle not to tell everyone I hear mention ACTAR that it is the worst book I've ever read in my entire life. I just keep it inside and say to myself "This person has no idea what good fantasy is." Maybe I'm a snob for that, but O well.

A few chapters in I was like ok this isn't bad. But I was literally ready to throw the book across the room when just a few chapters after being kidnapped the girl was fantasizing about screwing the beast that was her captor. So freaking dumb It was a real struggle to finish and the only book I finished out of hate. Though I'd never tell my sister that, I just told her it was ok but not my style.

Not hating on you though Belle Glad you enjoyed it and hope it's a good end to the series.

The first book is tough to push through but it gets better (definitely in the 2nd half).

I prefer her Throne of Glass series over this one. But it's worth keeping in mind she was 16 when she started writing it, but much prefer the main female protagonist in that one to Feyre (in ACOTAR).

I wouldn't say ACOTAR 1 was good, but I didn't think it was a bad book. I do think the second ACOTAR is actually a pretty solid book, but the series as a whole definitely isn't worth your time. It only gets worse after 2.

Throne of Glass and Fourth Wing are better Romantasy than ACOTAR for sure.
