There have been 2 pretty good ones the past 5 years -
David Roll's George Marshall: Defender of the Republic and Ed Cray's General of the Army: George C. Marshall, Soldier and Statesman
Now, Cray's book is more of general interest, which is consistent with his work (he has written bios of Woody Guthrie, etc.)
Roll is much more of a specialist in that immediate late-war/post-war era. His books are about George Marshall (this one), Henry Stimson, Harry Hopkins, Louis Johnson, etc.
