63 tree ducks on the retention pond in my neighborhood this am, 2 mottled ducks, (Richmond, TX). pair of mallards in the other neighborhood's retention pond, they have been there awhile now.
Occasionally, with a front, I'll see some wild ducks, they always stay in the middle and leave quickly. Usually teal or scaup.

It's a great place to fly into to visit, Zion, Bryce Canyon, North Rim etc.
The Hoover Dam tour was interesting in spite of the tour guide.
Otherwise I'd never go there.

I went on a mission immersion trip in 2023 with Maryknoll. Walking in the Footsteps of the Martyrs..it started at the shrine of St Oscar Romero on his feast day and covered the other North American Martyrs among other things.
Life changing event. It's one thing to read about something in the papers and quite another to talk with people that were there as it happened.
Highly recommend that trip.
