What’s are the best books on Martin Luther? I more interested in the man than critiques or apologies on the theology.

It’s academic, but probably Heiko Oberman’s “Luther Between God and the Devil”
Also check Michael Reeves, Carl Trueman, and Steve Lawson for easier reads. Though they will be biased.
