Taking a trip to Hungary, Austria, and Czech Republic in December, and I always enjoy reading the history about the places I’m visiting. I’m decently well-versed in general European history, but curious to find a good book about these specific countries. Any recs appreciated. TIA

I read The Radetzky Waltz by Joseph Roth after a Rec from this board prior to going to Austria, Czech Republic. Set prior to WW1 and gives a great feel for the conditions leading into this conflict in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
