Just finishing his history of D-Day invasion, Sand and Steel. Comprehensive and better written than Cornelius Ryan or Stephen Ambrose. He’s also authored two others about the Battle of the Bulge and the last five months of the war. Anyone else read these? Would certainly recommend the history of the invasion of Normandy.
