Finished the book last night. Pierce Brown has really grown as a writer. My only gripe the the clone thing. And what in the hell does he have against house Arcos? I don't think Darrow makes it out alive in the next book.

He is his father's son.
He never was meant to make it out of the series alive.

Nothing official yet, but some very good signs we see Sevro die this year.
Goodreads has the title as "Lightbringer" and an expected release date of Dec 2022. A reference to the Lucifer or Lysander, who tbh is the same person. Or nothing since it was an alternate title for Morningstar.

Ever since I finished the 5 books a few months ago, I have been listneing to the podcast Words and Whiskey. Its pretty entertaining - two late twentys guys discussing the series while drinking something new each episode (they are self described as a drunk book club). One of the guys has read the series multiple times while the other is brand new to red rising. They start with book 1 and knock out 6-7 chapters each podcast episode with the noob not allowed to go any further than the assigned chapters for that episode. They make drinking games out of predictions that the noob makes at the end of most episodes and stupid stuff like that. But they do a deep dive into the books, so it is a good listen to get other persepctives on characters and the universe that Pierce put together all while diving back into the series again with someone experiencing it for the first time. I occasionally have to skip through their giggling fits or tagents that one will go on unrelated to the books, but I am enjoying it. I suggest giving it a chance for anyone wanting to jump back into the red rising universe while waiting for book 6. It is on Spotify
And both minds eye and the clone were disappointing imo. But the rest of book 5 was great.

I agree, but I'm less disappointed with the clone than Lysander's power boost. Pax needs a realistic adversary in book 6. I also like that this clone will be missing a hand, just like the Jackal. Hopefully he takes care of Lilith before Pax ends him.

Looks like those end of year estimates for Book 6 may be accurate
