As title states, going to the beach in a couple weeks and would appreciate any good reads. Recently I have read where the crawdads sing, the guest list, the hunting party, and am currently in the beginning of the sanatorium. Also have survive the night.

Any suggestions similar to these would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

The Deserter - Nelson DeMille
Total Power - Vince Flynn / Kyle Mills

Start with the Deserter. Its a page turner.

Never read any of those, but Carl Hiaasen books are my favorite beach reads. A little comedic, a little mystery, and very light reading.

Has was this? I came close to ordering it on Thriftbooks but try to hold out for copies in "very good" condition and hardcover.

West with the Night by Beryl Markham would go good with the beach. She was an aviator and safari guide in Africa, grew up there among the natives on her father’s farm. Lived an interesting and unique life, and her writing style is simple but poignant.

It was a good book. In my opinion I think it was overhyped and a little slow, but most people will enjoy reading it

I'll second The Silent Patient. It was definitely a page-turner. I just finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and it was a good beach read. Another book with a similar title, The 7-1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, is also a great choice.
