The End of the World As We Know It: New Tales of Stephen King's The Stand

This is an anthology work with dozens of stories based before, during, and after the events of The Stand.
I am listening to the audiobook version. It uses two or three narrators, who do a fine job. I am about halfway through at the moment (total time is just under 28 hours). Lots of really good stories that let you in on how the folks other than Frannie, Stu, Trashcan, and Lloyd made out during Captain Trips’ rampage. (I should clarify that the only characters from The Stand that are mentioned by name are Flagg and Mother Abigail and Larry Underwood [because of the song]. One of the characters sees Underwood from a distance at one point.)
Of course, they all talk of Mother Abigail and “The Dark Man.” The stories are all written by different authors, taking place everywhere and involving all different kinds of people, even a couple of African Painted Dogs. One story takes place aboard the Space Shittle Discovery as the astronauts deal with the deteriorating situation on the ground below.
If you are a fan of King or specifically The Stand, I highly recommend this book, either written or audio.
