SPOILERS FOR HIERARCHY SERIES
I want to start off by saying that without the audiobook, I would be mispronouncing most of the names in this series. Islington goes out of his way to make them complicated. Minor nitpick but I had to say it.
Just finished this last night and I think I liked it more than TWOTM. It took a bit to get used to the triple POVs for Vis. A lot of cliffhanger endings to chapters before a POV switch had me staying up late a few nights.
If I had to rank the POVs it would be:
1) Res
2) Luceum
3) Obiteum
Obiteum started off strong but once Vis left Caeror and infiltrated Duat it dragged for me until the end. Speaking of Caeror, I’m confused why he thinks both his copies died when the end reveals he is alive in Luceum too. Could one of them be a false Caeror?
RIP Aquea. That one and the second loss of Vis’ father hurt. I was relieved he spared Diago’s life.
Welcome back Callidus.
