LSU with chavis and bama had the #1 and #2 defenses in country in 2011. LSU being#2 if i recall.

I recall those Chavis defenses blowing late leads to Bama.

Les would be a perfect fit in their culture. He knows he has to have a creative Offensive play caller on staff, and change with his philosophy a bit, but he is a scandal free coach with a good pedigree and resume on his accomplishments. They could do a whole lot worse in who they hire, and Miles is better than most available coaches out there now.

You just proved my points. The d was not bad in any of those games. The offensive support was shite also. You expect him to keep Bama shut down always? Lol. Scroll back up and read my post again where I explained this.

Dellenger texted Les tonight who answered “No real news” whatever that means.

I love how people make the argument that because a multi millionaire coach has a new home, they are grounded in that city

I proved nothing of yours with my comments. I don't expect him to give up long drives, in only a few plays, with little time left on the clock. I certainly don't blame the offense for that soft, prevent defense when the games were on the line.

Yeah basically the same coaches - each with something that about 99% of other college don’t have- a championship ring. Phil and Les both have had damn strong coaching careers.

Sweet! LSU has a chance to save a few nickels, get rid of Ed, and bring in the Lane Train!!

It must be terrible to have to eat crow everyday and still spout off about Coach O.

I think you're probably correct but 247 said last night now that Phil is in charge, Tee would be open to an AHC/HCIW type thing at Tennessee.

Miles for like 3 years with a clear succession plan to Tee would be a home run after this disaster of a coaching search imo

I could see where it would be smart to let Les handle stabilizing the program. That would keep fans from abandoning a young coach when the inevitable struggles hit. This team is talented but has issues - some are soft in mindset while others are physically soft. Others have simply been so poorly coached they're in need of help in a bad way.

Tee taking over a stable program would be far more ideal.

I really think that Les is the man they've wanted from the onset.

If Les finally gets the message that he needs an innovative offense, he will win and win big.

He can “get the message” all day, but he will never be capable of sticking with it or not injecting himself into it.

The second there is adversity, the second the O struggles in a high pressure situation, he will revert to power I big 10 football. He can’t help it.

The rumor is that if it's Les, they would bring Tee Martin as OC/HCIW and probably that Austin Thomas guy from LSU who has all the Nashville connections.

That would be a solid hire. Would suck to lose Austin Thomas.

You sure the title of this thread shouldn't be, "Les Miles has reached out to Tennessee."
