My old job i had half of Texas and had an account 10 minutes from the El Dorado, TX compound of Jeffs.
I drove by it and went up to it and it had 3 guys with machine guns guarding the gate. I panicked and rolled down the window and just said I took a wrong turn and GTFO.
Its a great area BTW. Lots of deer leases

The 3rd party guys are 100% commissions
The corporate employees have a 70-80k base plus commission so they aren’t as pushy. They have lead lists so they know everything you have anyways

I read a lot of books on CEOs and the Bob Iger one was fantastic
He went into full detail on the Disney sale and back and forth with Lucas. When Lucas finally came back to them, he said he will do it but only if KK is in charge and has complete control.
I always wonder how much of her decisions were straight from George or just her.
The good news is she’s gone and the new CEO ran parks and apparently was very frustrated what Iger and the board decided on many issues. This is a very promising thing on what he can change over the new few years.

It’s a beautiful area and the infrastructure is there so they can change it up at any time.
I didn’t agree with the original concept but the rides are awesome. I love the area and my kids and nephew were in heaven when we went in Jan.
Hard to call it a “failure”. The parks attendance is up to pre covid numbers and both times we’ve gone in the last 18 months (DL and DW) both the Star Wars rides were an hour wait within 30 minutes of the park opening.

The real AT&T guys are called home service experts and I used to manage them in DFW
They are very good. This was probably a 3rd party. They do have strict guidelines they have to follow. Was he in a branded shirt with a name tag and shirt tucked in?
