Most of the negative feedback that has inflicted damage on the search was against Briles.

Ensminger looked very likely to me at one point because after Canada left , there was ALOT of talk aboit there not being a search at all. That it was all fake.

But that cant be true. Briles going to Houston matched everythong I said previously perfectly. The search is legit and Steve is not the only candidate.

Based on Ensmingers’s performance in 2016 vs. Canada’s in 2017, Coach E ‘s production was much better. Personally, I hope we go outside for the OC, but Ensminger could do a good job - although the selection it would be controversial and underwhelming for the shiny objects crowd on this board.

You think Alleva reads this shite? Alleva is gonna see the e mails that flood his office from people with REAL money. Not the bitching by a bunch of anonymous people on the internet

Dipshit, I’m not saying Alleva reads this shite.

The insider who everyone is listening to is. He said Yurich’s name was brought up “mainly from fan buzz”

So, it’s not only me that is saying fan opinions matter. Y’all want to believe everything else he says but that

All the BS about "meddling". You pinheads apparently can't grasp that the HC is called a HC for a reason, right? The concept that a head coach must have no say in a game plan is beyond ignorant. Name me a few head coaches who have no input into their game plans or on the field decisions or better yet, name ANY head coach who would agree that head coaches should relinquish all decision making to subordinates.

Call it what you want, but someone obviously gave Canada the wrong impression about how much control he would have when he was hired.

Whose fault is that?

Why else would he be so upset that his offense was changed? Canada said himself that the offense was interfered with

After 3 games , EVERYBODY could see that Canada’s offense was failing. Leaders have to make corrections. The promise to not get involved with offense was made on the premise that it produced. Canada’s offense never produced. Did you like what we saw against and terrible BYU team and the disaster in Starkville?

First, give me one example of a P5 school that has won a championship in the last decade that decided to hire a career position coach

Cabo Sweeney sure comes close. Career position coach who had a losing record in his second year at Clemson.

This forum is one giant melt. Uninformed, speculative, rumor fueled, innuendo cesspool of whining little children.

All of this. Best believe that Saban tells his OC what he wants to see.

sad thing is when Ensminger isn’t hired he’ll think it was because of his melt and claim victory.

Yeah that's his positioning going on here. Maybe he has a point though. I can just see it...

Alleva perusing the rant yesterday... "Oh shite!!! WaWaWeeWa is PISSED at us." Quickly picks up the phone with a trembling hand. "Hey O, we have a problem. Tell me you haven't called Steve yet. Okay. Good!!! Look man, WaWaWeeWa is on the warpath. We really need to reassess here. Let's put some calls out. We can't go through with promoting E. Not with WaWaWeeWa railing like he is. We're not gonna go down that path..."

YAY!!!!! Hey everybody!!! We all owe WaWaWeeWa and his peers an enormous debt of gratitude. Thank you SO much WaWaWeeWa for saving the day and derailing the promotion of Ensminger to OC. How can we EVER thank you???

I must have missed where Saban went 3-21 in conference play over a 3 year period. O promised he learned from his mistakes at Ole Miss, the main one being meddling in the offense which he knew nothing about. Now, he’s doing the same things he did from 05-07, he just had a roster stocked full of elite talent and the LSU brand that Saban and Miles built behind him. In the next year or two, when Miles’ fingerprints are gone, the program will be a shell of its former self.

Canada leaving. December 1st. Also mentioned that Briles was the first candidate. Spoiler alert. He was.

LINK

Aranda staying. Posted well before his new contract was announced.

LINK

Called Briles being in contact with Houston. Well before that broke.

As you can clearly see, I have known about the Briles fiasco from the beginning. It wasnt until the other night that I learned the details of why Alleva stopped it cold.

Any other questions you want to ask? Go right ahead.
