To be fair he probably could’ve gotten an NFL OC job this season and probably could’ve gotten an NFL HC job in a few seasons regardless of the Bama bump. NFL loves retreads and can easily convince themselves that BOB would be a great hire if he’s not involved in the front office role

Yeah true, maybe the right job just wasn't there this year for him.

Can you name the stops he has made?

I don't know about the Texans but his PSU stint was considered a resounding success, I thought - given the circumstances

Has saban had a bad coordinator hire since he’s been in Alabama (at least since they’ve gone to the spread offensively)?

Everyone seems to work out.

I think defensively it’s because you have saban obviously and offensively they have superior talent.

Unfortunately I’m sure o brian will be successful.

It's Saban. He's a rare example of a coach who can have his hand anywhere on the team and have his presence felt. Not a coincidence when a lot of these coaches leave Bama their careers fizzle downward. Not always but some do. It's a great place if you failed before you can get a second chance to make your career go back up.

As in, how come Ryan Reynolds is banging Blake Lively and not me?!

Nick Saban was in The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. Sandra Bullock was in The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds. Ergo, Nick Saban is the reason Ryan Reynolds is banging Blake Lively. Everything can always be tied back to Alabama.

It sounds like Saban basically confirmed Bill O'Brien being named Alabama OC in an interview with Houston media today:

More from Saban on O'Brien: "Based on the body of work up until (becoming GM), I think he's an outstanding coach and a really good person. He's got a good family and I think he'll do a good job with our players here."

Have fun with O'Brien, dude hasn't been a good coach in years and he is a well known douchebag. He will fit right in at Bama.

Only on this board is BOB a bad OC while while hiring two of Joe Brady’s friends who’ve never ran an offense is a great hire

BoB apparently does not get along with anyone and only made the playoffs 4 times with the Texans... loser did not even with the super bowl. He obviously does not know football /S

I am excited for the hire at Alabama, I think BoB can continue the success and evolution that Sark brought in. We are back to being a pro style team with RPO elements.

Well, there is the fact that Joe Brady directed the greatest offense ever seen in the history of NCAA Division I football.

So there is that unarguable fact neither you or any other Bama fan, or anybody else can deny.

I don't recall Bill O'Brien doing anything particularly significant in his coaching career. Then there is the fact that I fricking hate all things Nick Saban and gump footballl.

Brady is an honest guy, and highly recommended Peetz, and Mangas to Orgeron. Apparently Brady and I had a good relationship, which goes against those who say nobody likes to work for O.

I think I would take my chances with the recommendation of Brady, who has proven success with the spread offense over a fossil like Bill O'Brien, who has done almost nothing in the past 5 yrs.

Oh so now it WAS Brady? Been hearing all year it was Ensminger.

No idea why you directed that response to me. I've never believed or said Ensminger was the architect of the 2019 spread offense.

Ensminger is a good guy and did the best he could with the knowledge he has, but in no way was he a master offensive tactician. I think he would even acknowledge that.

No need to melt, the facts are exactly as I stated, argue against facts like you will. You gotta be a fricking libtard since you don't accept truth over your facts.
