Mark Snyder (Marshall) is definitely on the hot seat. That position will be open shortly.

Ron Zook at Illinois is feeling the heat too.

Here is an ESPN story on Mangino's situation

I haven't looked at the Mangino situation until now, but it sounds like kansas is a bunch of pussies, if you go just by the beginning of that article.

Yeah, I got the last bit of talk about it on the radio this morning, but I really didn't know it was serious. One or two guys complaining about coaches working them to hard is not the same as a team wide mutiny. I admit that I don't know the situation.

It's very serious. It's more than one or two. It is so serious that the AD actually met with the entire team to let them on express their thoughts on how Mangino treats them.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is axed.

My brother went to Marshall. He said the team has made great strides and there's no way Snyder gets fired.

Mitch Vingle of the Charleston Gazette writes of Thundering Herd coach Mark Snyder that "if Snyder keeps his job now, it will be an upset like that of Appalachian State over Michigan in 2007."

Wow. I guess we'll see. I thought they were really improving this year.

That's good work on your part.

It will be interesting.

Thanks for the link, but I get when I read this.

One mother of a player, who asked not to be identified, said that

So this mom gets to rip the coach and have the media run her side of the story, but she won't identify herself. That's a bunch of bs.

Choupique, he is definitely on the hot seat...but hot seats have varying degrees of temperature, and we will find out shortly how hot it really is...

Being on the hot seat doesn't mean getting canned is eminent.

Well I have learned that in the last 10 minutes. I didn't realize that earlier. The AD doesn't seem to be backing him up.

That's the beauty of this board.

Virginia is definitely on the list; most think Groh is gone soon after the season. The Richmond coach (London) is the rumored front runner. Derek Dooley has also been mentioned.

Maryland is a question mark. It will be expensive to buy out Fridge plus the coach in waiting (James Franklin), but this could be the worst season in 100+ years of Terps football. Actual attendance (as opposed to the announced crowds) is dropping and season renewals may well be in trouble. New suites were added this year and haven't sold.

How about Fridge as new QB coach at LSU?

Derek Dooley

I've always had a sneaking suspicion that he'll be the next guy at Georgia...when Richt's time is up. Whenever that may be.

UVA needs to go after Tubberville and see if he's interested. Tuberville could do some damage in the ACC Coastal. Probably won't happen, but I can dream. London is a good choice as well.
