re: The entire lineup today was non portal from this year and still sucked

I always find it humorous that people can determine if we have leaders or not in the locker room when we arent in there. Are we to believe jake brown, stanfield, curiel, milam, guidry, etc were good leaders last year, but bad leaders this year? Does that make sense?
Nope, instead its the “well, we’re losing alot, we dont have leaders” lazy take

But if there were errors their era wouldn’t be a 6. EARNED run average means there was no defensive miscue. It’s a pitching stat to determine their effectiveness.
What about all the plays where there is no error given, but its an error? Or where only one out is recorded on a double play ball?
re: So one bad portal class has changed CJJ’s entire philosophy on the portal?

I think he is referencing staying away from power hitters in small conferences. He’ll probably go after more all around talented players that can hit for high average, guys that have good gloves too.
I found it odd that jay built his last team with guys like dickinson and stanny and braswell and luis, won a championship, and then completely shifted philosophy to guys like dardar, simpson, and yorke
Either way some of it is bad luck, with carraway and moore hurt

You not tired from looking like an idiot last year?
Schmidt actually isnt pitching horrible, he is facing the best lineup in the sport
Like i said, i think its the best lineup ive seen
Them and georgia tech are 1-2 in just about any order
This lineup may be the best in baseball

frick that, let the guys who have paid their dues play if the rest of them wont do whats asked
Yall are all missing the point. This lineup is an ode to the guys who have been in the program, and kind of a shot at the transfers. After what jay said last night, im not surpised he made the lineup this way. Hope reaves crushes

PULMONARY would have NEVER said or admitted what Jay said in those interviews. That's my coach!!! He said it will never happen again (his mistake in putting this team together), and I believe him.
Jay's not throwing his coaches or players under the bus like Pawl used to do. I'm just comparing coaches, and thank God LSU has IMO the best baseball coach in the country. I don't know, but I have a good idea how this season will end, and the future is bright going forward under Jay.
Lol, what? Paul said these kinds of things all the time. And because it had been several years since he won a title, it was “he is throwing his players under the bus”. Jay has a couple recently, so this board will back him regardless, but its the same thing

None of you "Locals" got anything else to do.
It's "ALL LSU, ALL THE TIME" because that's what your life in the Hole is.
I know what it's like. Been there and done that in Mandeville for a long time. Nothing going on this weekend. Don't feel like going to NOLA. Don't feel like driving to Pensacola. What's going on at LSU Saturday? I'm there.
So glad to be extracted from that life.
New Smyrna Beach!
You are so extracted from that life that you are posting an essay about it on an lsu messageboard while at the beach, you showed us!
The younger guys are getting playing time

Basically what alot of folks have said here. Your base has to be built from Louisiana. U have to build with that as yiur base and then pick select players from other d1 g4 programs at positions of need. A closer a catcher a starter. But the majority has to come from homegrown kids from Louisiana.
Yeah, thats not at all what is being said. The guys developed through the program like Bide, Milam, serna, braun, stanny, and curiel arent from here, and they are performing here. Only schmidt and brown are from here and performing

They dont play in the smallest park, but the ball flies there, their park factor is pretty damn high

Here it all is. As may have said, this is a roster construction issue. He didnt hold back much here
Basically said he isnt sure if he can get any of it fixed tomorrow, but he’ll fix it through recruiting and this will never happen again
Definitely rolled the bus over the current group. Which ive never had a problem with doing that

College pitchers don't want an automated strike zone, I promise you that. You think our pitchers walk too many hitters now, let a robot call balls and strikes.
While this is usually the prevailing thought, it goes the other way too if they actually called pitches where they cross the plate

Sorry Will, we havent been paying attention to yall
Evans/schmidt/paz is a pretty damn solid core to start with. Cant think of anyone who will return more potential from a starting staff. Prob should add one potential competitor from the portal.
