Is it possible that Tyke will be the OC?

Either Tyke is the OC or Miles ended up going a different way.
Tyke wasn't going to be able to join the staff until the NFL season was over, may have something to do with it. Who knows.

I think you're jumping the gun. He is not the OC at LSU yet. And yes, I would rather have Crowton than an unknown, although it's not an A or B choice as you make it out to be. There are plenty of other options. IMO, LSU doesn't have to hire anyone with no coordinator experience (or QB coach experience for that matter). I don't expect us to be able to go out and get the absolute "best coordinator" in the country, but I do think we don't have to worry about hiring rookie coordinators. Like I said, though, we're jumping the gun, because Gary Crowton is our OC as of this moment. And regardless of whether my opinion turns out to be right or wrong, I am hopeful that whoever is LSU's OC gets everything turned around in 2010, and whoever is the OC in 2010 I will be rooting for.
JP, I'd rather have you thean Crowton right now.
Honestly.

Tri-Coordinators
Stud will call the run plays, Gonzales will call the short passes and Tolbert will focus on short side option plays

Tyke being OC actually makes sense. Hes a NFL guy who is successful, you gotta think a lot of NFL teams would want him. So he adds to his credentials by being a OC, which next step is either OC in NFL or a HC somewhere in CFB/NFL? Hes also a former LSU guy, how can we bitch about this?

First off people with the he never OCed stuff please chill out u think UM was born a coach, no he paid his dues and learned from his upper coaches! You dont go from sofa to OC. He has been arround some good offensive minds! The LSU offense has become stagnate. I would rather a fresh coaching staff with new looks and strategies on how to use our talent! Even if we get an established man he will pull things from previous teams and implement them here, but IMO if we get a fresh OC right out of the oven he will want to make his own flavor of offense! Les is taking a risk on this and i think he knows his but is getting warm so he must do something to change the way we use our weapons in TigerTown or he will be just another name in a list of ex Tiger coaches!

who is a "bulkier back" than Tim Tebow?

Ware will be throwing the ball, Tebowish style...

You really think that with a guy who's been shadowing Urban Meyer for the last 5 years, we could finish worse than 108th in offense???
I'm willing to roll the dice on that one.

If Tyke is the OC, it would make some sense as to why he came back from the NFL.

Ford played in a spread!

Doubt Tyke has a spot w/ this news being confirmed, Miles won't go inexperienced after the DC thing last yr. Too important.

So then Tyke Tolbert was never hired? Where's the link about Gonzalez being the WR coach?

You like Gonzalez better than Tolbert?
Seems to give up some development of receivers for a top-notch recruiting.

That could be true but why in the hell would this guy leave Florida unless he was getting a better promotion or a different position coach to add to his bio?
You can't say LSU is a upgrade and I seriously doubt Florida couldn't keep up with bids. Not like Florida thinks he sucks...much less leaving a offensive genius in CUM...
