So Herbie made out okay when he broke Les to Michigan. I wonder what happens to this guy if Saban stays?

If I had more information to write a story I would have. Source was very confident. I'll believe it when I see it.

but the money some of these big colleges rake in every year it makes sense
The school barely pays any of it, the booster clubs pay the rest

If coaches have a clause in their contract to be the highest paid coach in CFB following a NC, they are all winning right now.

Am I the only one who thinks it is nuts that these coaches are getting paid 7-10 million/year?
I guess when you consider the hundreds of millions that the football programs bring in annually in addition to the exposure the school gets which affects enrollment, it could be considered a pretty smart investment

it's the nature of the business there is a gigantic demand for these people so you have universities NFL teams paying their coaches millions of dollars to run their team.

He probably stays...so Bama fans are about to feel empowered again and start laughing at everyone about this...when in actuality a large majority of us have been trolling them anyway!

1) Saban has a history of lying
2) if you tell a kid you are leaving the place you are trying to recruit him to he will probably not commit to your school.

The change in the mood of this thread is pretty comical.
