I was, just watching the Ohio State spring game that year. You could tell in that game that Burrow was great at reading defenses. I didn't see 2019, world-beating Burrow then but I did say "this guy will be the best QB we've had since Mettenberger. I also tried to evaluate all three of their QBs without regard to name and thought Burrow had more upside than Haskins. So, yes, I was excited.

And every former Saban coach should be good.
He has 1 good year. Saban had 5 seasons without a losing season before LSU. He was a monster in his one year at Toledo? as well.

Why are some fans acting like Mel Tucker is riding a 30 game winning streak?
It's a legit question. Tucker is a good coach- not doubting that. But having said that, why should LSU settle for a head coach with such a short track record? Especially when the big donors are really opening their wallets, and the program is at a definite crossroads?

Cloth as saban. Elite talent evaluator, built Mich State from the transfer portal. Last time we went to mich state we got a pretty good one. Tucker is elite in every single way. Him or OUs coach is where I would start!
