No doubt.
Ole Miss would be choosing to let the LSU Head coach work at their school and coach their team thru the playoffs. He would be planning for game day for Ole Miss while daily acting as the LSU Head Coach.
...all while OM doesnt have one...or has hired a new one.

If he’s the head coach at LSU in 2026, then he needs to be recruiting and building a roster starting on December 1st.
If he’s not recruiting for LSU on December 1st, then LSU needs to move on because he’s not committed to winning next season at LSU.
After the egg bowl, you’re either the coach of LSU or you’re not. shite or get off the pot. Can’t have it both ways. LSU can’t miss out on early signing day and the portal. That should be non negotiable.

OM has to grow a pair and fire Kiffen. He can't recruit for LSU while under contract with OM. Kiffen can't coach OM if under contract with LSU. The SEC will stop this immediately, if not a lawsuit either by an individual or a University in the Conference.

Hopefully ole miss won't go for it. Verge better know lanes in Bec if they make a deep run and Lane makes an emotional decision to stay. Oh Lord. And teams are about to start moving fast. Domino's falling... If lanes mind is made up I'm good with it tho..

They’re projected to play Bama in the 1st round. It’ll be an early exit, but we need to hire a Coaching staff and recruit for next season. That takes time. And a Head Coach.

A coach for a team that is in your CONFERENCE and a bitter rival, not to mention one of three yearly matchups. Hell No that can’t happen!
Assume for a minute that Lane takes OM to the final and wins it all. All while under contract with LSU. And recruits that want apart of that…. Easy follow me to Baton Rouge.
If he coaches the Playoffs he is not leaving Oxford, period. And we either have another coach already in place, or we are in deep shite. That is the reality of it. He Can’t sign with us or Florida and coach OM out of the question
