You can try, but Durkin isn’t leaving Auburn for LSU. He and his family love it at Auburn. He turned down Ohio State last year.

I feel like we just went through this

Sumrall would have been a better fit at Auburn than Florida, in my opinion. I do like that he’s embracing offense at Florida and has hired great coordinators. I think he’ll be successful there. Auburn however may have lucked into a better fit with Golesh. I have seen his press conference and he almost reminds me of a young Bruce Pearl. High octane offense, teams play super hard, and he’s a very likable guy.

I'm not sure we want to hire another coach that killed a kid after just firing Brian Kelly.

The Auburn fanbase would lose it lol.

That would be kinda funny. Piss off 2 of your rivals all at once.

One of the reasons Sumrall took the Florida job iver Auburn was that he HAD to keep Durkin at DC......

Pretty sure Durkin and Kiffins relationship ended pretty poorly when he left OM but who knows

If we go steal Mizzous again I’m not sure their fans survive

I heard MM mention Vince Kehres as a possibility at DC if Baker leaves. I had to go and look him up.

"An under-the-radar name that might be the best of the bunch. Kehres leads a Toledo Rockets defense that ranks in the top five in points per game, yards per game, points per play, and yards per play this fall. Toledo also ranked third in yards allowed per rush and tenth in rushing yards. His pass defense held offenses to just a 48.4% completion percentage. That's the lowest completion percentage nationally. Yes, all of this is at a lower level of competition, but he also produced four NFL draft picks in six years at Toledo."
