My gut tells me he has not decided yet. I feel he’s trying to work out a massive contract with guarantees to stay at OM and he’s struggling internally in making that decision.

None of them are struggling for money in LSU isn't going to underpay for anyone. Dillingham for example..... If he would be the guy, he would be getting a hefty raise. He's not going to sit at the bargaining table and say but but Lane

We are way past a “decision.” Assuming he is leaving, Ole Miss is faced with having the new head coach of their permanent SEC foe having a ten day head start to recruit Ole Miss players and assistants, and prospects. For whatever reason Lane wants to coach a game or two more, and for UM to allow that, they are getting something in return. Beyond me what it is. Maybe UM is lining up having a replacement in place at the time of the announcement so the new guy can salvage what he can.
