Is Ole Miss running a deficit in their athletic department? I heard it was a few million per year. I know LSU isn’t hurting for money as an athletic department.

The overwhelming response you’ll get is because LSU is a better job, more resources, yada yada. But that doesn’t have to be true going forward. Oxford is a rich town that is more than capable of competing if they wanted to.

It’s not potential money in athletics, but what you are actually willing to spend on it. If your logic played out Stanford who is one of the top 5 richest schools in the country would kill it in athletics and they mostly suck. The Ivy League schools would crush athletics, but they are a non factor.

You clearly don’t know what the real meaning of blue blood is if this is what you think being a blue blood actually is.

I mean your definition means perennial powerhouse. But in the context I’m talking about is original SEC. A purist and I do not consider ANY school not listed below an SEC school. They’re bullshite up and comers and not true pure SEC blue blood lineage from 1932:
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Georgia
Florida
Vanderbilt
Tennessee
Kentucky
LSU

That’s all I meant.
