Actually, boosters, season ticket holders, students, and fans do indirectly pay for all of this.

No they aren’t. Shocking how clueless some of you are while spending so much energy caring about this shite

Lmao…prices were raised before any of this shite went down.

I guess other schools never raise prices without any coaching buyouts or coaching hires they have to pay for.

Retards are coming out strong today!

That’s the “buyout” Kiffin wouldn’t owe Ole Miss a dime, LSU is “buying out” the remainder of his and his staff’s contract.

Calling other people clueless while having no idea what you’re talking about. Classic

You’re foregoing 54 million worth of talent.

Lmao…yeah because all the top schools using that $54mil plus the other $30 mil we say we are going to use for a total of $84 mil for one seasons roster.

Put the bottle down.

Buyouts are raised from donors, not revenue.

Go enjoy the fam and regroup yourself.

Do you really think your (my) season ticket prices, TAF fees, etc, aren’t tied to the program and its’ costs?????

The cost of my season tickets going up every year says otherwise.

Lmao…so why do season ticket prices go up at other schools that are not paying coach buyouts??

Clown, try harder

Any AD that hires Brian Kelly after how he left Notre Dame and LSU has a death wish for their program.

His objective was retirement when he came to LSU and got it, little incentives to coach again.

I think this entire legal thing was LSU establishing his need to look for a job or not get a dime.

I would love for him to get the Michigan state job...but not because it saves LSU money...its cuz screw Brian Kelly.

That’s in the contract, there’s nothing to establish

They were trying to find a way to use being an a-hole generally as cause and couldn’t get anywhere.

They’ll likely still settle in the future for a lump sum payment and get this behind them

Yes...but if he just decides to retire that is a pain in butt to deal with.

They'd have to sue him.

Thats why they tried to settle.

It's why he didn't settle...cuz he wants to retire. Other wise he would settle for the 35 million he was offered. ANY CFB coaching job he would get would move his buyout below 35 million with the offset.

Now he is on the record with his whole "I CANT FIND ANOTHER JOB BECAUSE OF LSU".

LSU grants him the full buyout with the reminder that he must seek employment and update them.

Its an overstatement that this was their goal...but the result for them was fine.
