me either, but I'm not sure who Miles would/could replace him w/. We could do a lot worse than Chavis.

I'm really not trying to knock him. He is a good DC, but not a great one.

He is replaceable. If he leaves, let's see if the hat can make a great hire.

I do think he deserves the "great" label, but just barely. I suppose he is replaceable, but like the other poster said, only with a "home run" hire.

If this cat hires Martinez, he should be fired on the spot. I'm just throwing that out there right now.

Yeah, after one year, that's my sentiments exactly.

So much so, after cancelling my travelling plans for next year, these coaching shenanigans are about to question my yearly financial investment period.

Hunting and fishing may have to suffice.

I agree. His defenses are fundamentally sound, so he's a good coach but his scheme is alright. The problem is, can Miles find someone just as good or better? If we can't, then this could be the end of Miles. Can't afford to have another bad defense.

Reggie Herring

He ain't scared to kick a player in the arse. I'd think some of his fire on the sideline would be nice to see.

I really have not had a chance to think about it. I blew off all the Chavis to Georgia stuff, but not that BP has put his stamp on it...

Off the top of my head Nix and Ellis Johnson.

Bama's DC is going to have to get out from under Saban before he will get a shot at being a HC. Just like Muschamp did, he will need another job on his resume where he is actually running the defense.

BP, is it to be close to his family? Or has he and Cooper really been fighting like some people have said? Or both?

That's a good point. Prove he can coach a unit on his own.

He just had the opportunity to do that and coach at his alma mater at the same time. I hope you don't think we're getting Smart.

Both Nix and Johnson are LB coaches as well. Make those two guys turn you down before you go anywhere else.
