Haughton took Game 2 over Southside 7-6

Good season for them regardless
Not to mention LMJ who is his last paycheck away from being a professional whiffle baller
I don’t think I’ve seen a DAT post this season that wasn’t in favor of him being in the lineup over that miserable thing that has been there more times than not
Trust me

It was an accumulation of events

No ump or opposing team went into a game vs Central not knowing

But it doesn’t preclude him from making some changes and having success
I’ll cut him some slack on the pitching side, just due to how God awful it has been given injuries, etc

But he adds nothing in the management of the team, and I’m certain any one in an Astros uni could affect similar results from this roster

Brown is done and new guy will undoubtedly get his own guy.

Amazing how playing lesser teams and they manage to get leadoff hitters on in every inning. Going back through all of these losses, the Astros may have set a team record in this category

Nah. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been suspended. This action will probably result in affecting his behavior moving forward

My only point in posting a response was to say he could end up being a successful coach you would prefer having over many that punch the clock

Jay basically admitted that this year isn’t gonna happen last night

Yeah, I’m guessing their agents are busy looking for landing spots right now. LOL

It’s a new world. Roster limits are no joke. We’ll probably see more attention to defense and less given to offensive numbers generated at smaller schools

Make no mistake though, Jay is in charge. I’ll ride with him

For a shirt taking off episode it seemed rather mild.

Yeah, it was definitely for an accumulation of events.

I’ve been an opposing fan at 2 of his games this year. He reminds me of Cecchini in so far as his gamesmanship/childish/motivational techniques. Literally turned a scrimmage into 4.5 hrs with meetings with his batters to interrupt pitcher’s timing.

Also saw him in an actual game leave the 3rd base coach’s box running up the line all the way to home plate on a ball in play to the pitcher, yelling toward the field.

But I think if we’re all being honest, we would take the coach with passion over the one just filling out a card going through the motions when our kid is involved. And after meeting Cechinni, there is a level of appreciation you gain when he’s not in the opposing dugout.

I’m sure it might be the same in this case.
Eventually Janek

Not soon enough for me though

But probably a good thing he’s not up with Diaz on the roster to show him how it’s not done
We may have a fighter here

Not laying down

Nvmd, you’re right

He sucks
Met James Mouton last night

He scouts for the Giants

Any of you pups remember him?

Haughton and Southside going to 9th tied 1-1

Haughton takes 3-1 lead top 9

Haughton wins 3-2

Coca-Cola

And yeah, Hannum had won state at St Louis before he went to Barbe

I mean to take nothing away from what Glenn has done at Barbe, but just in case you didn’t know, when he was an asst there under Hannum, they were amongst the 8 best teams in the state when 5A was 5A.

I watched them lose in extras to NISH at North Park in Denham in the quarters back when they played state final 8 in elimination. He took over the next year and was knocked out by NISH again who eventually lost at the Box.

I played youth baseball in LC where 7 yo’s actually pitched. There were 3 leagues. Mid City, SLC, and Brentwood IIRC. When we moved to NI the next year, they were using pitching machines.

I guess my point is that LC has been a fertile baseball area and just not sure “nothing” would be entirely correct. Definitely fair to say
that Glenn has been to championships at Barbe what Bertman was to LSU
Every pitch will be automated sooner than later

These umps don’t want to see 3+ inch misses every inning. They will beg for it

If Diaz steps in the box bot 9, I am out like him
All good ABs aside from Yainer Castro Maldonado

And I really shouldn’t slander Jason and Martin with that
This ump has embarrassed himself more than Diaz
Walk 3 straight to allow a run and after 5 walks you’ve given up, you can’t throw a ball on an 0-2 count to a guy who has hit 6 HRs in 11 games vs your team

Weiss can carry his arse back across the Pacific with Yainer under one arm and Matthews the other
Nah

Bad but not Walker bad

Obvious oppo situation that he completely Yainered on first pitch
So we go from a pro AB to a first pitch pull w runners on 2nd and 3rd no outs from Walker
