no, but King Miles supporter prominentwon was the #1 Smoke supporter back in the day as well. Just putting things into perspective.
at least you got my name right.
Hell, I'll admit when I was wrong and to be honest, I don't even remember that far back. But if you say that I put up that big of a fight for that guy, I guess it's true. I don't really care either way.
Yet, you and another handful of posters are bitching about a Top 10 finish. It's amazing to me.

Fwiw while at LSU Les Miles is .500 vs both Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.
The two best coaches in the nation.. and neither of them can beat Miles more than he beats them
Way too much logic in this for a max negatiger.

this is in reply to saying that 4th in the west is not worth $4 mill or more? Odd response.
This was in response to you saying that you want Miles gone as soon as possible no matter how it happens. So I asked who would want to coach here?
We'd get raped in the hiring of a new coach. I'll take 10 wins and consistent top 10 finishes with a shot at the BCS over some nobody coach with a ridiculous contract. I get it though blind hatred and not a shred of logic. Ask Saban and Meyer if they think Miles is overrated -- they in a dead heat with him head to head.
Miles will pass one of the two next season and maybe both.

The LSU Saban inherited was the same as the one Miles got from him.
Oh, the trusty "Miles won Saban's championship."

Max has done nothing but flame and pollute the board for a few months, if Chicken wouldn't do it then, he will not do it now.
He has been so far over the top, but oh well.
We can only hope. Dude is just eaten up with hating a winning coach. He can't accept the facts and move on.
Do we all want more, yes we do. Let's hope we get a great OC for Christmas.

Seriously? You believe Miles should get canned this year for being 10-2?
Do you think Miles could fix his glaring shortcomings with a new OC?
I wrote Miles off earlier this year, but seeing the disadvantage at QB and OC, I was happy with the season.

Why is it even necessary? He's still got 4 years left on this one at 3.75 mil...
I wonder if this contract isn't some kind of set up for Miles and LSU?
I mean, the buyout is keeping Les here perhaps against his will?
Here me out. If he wants to go to another gig, he is basically unhireable and LSU has no leverage if he starts having rough years. So both parties are at disadvantage from a negotiation standpoint as I see it for future developments.
So in conclusion, this new contract could be written so Miles can go elsewhere? Call me crazy, but it crossed my mind why this being down now??
I don't see him getting a raise do you?
I don't see him agreeing to a pay cut either do you?
So why a new contract with 4 years left?
Makes you go hmmmmm

no, the trusty Dinardo went 3-8 and 4-7 before Saban got here. Saban left a program that was 11-1 and 8-4 or whatever plus loads of young talent like Laron, Bowe, Jamarcus, Davis, Doucet.

How much does the only coach in the nation who can coach against Meyer and Saban every year.. and come out in a dead heat cost?
Miles will pass one of the two next season fwiw. Maybe both of them. How would you spin that?

You said you want him gone ASAP. Why do you keep ducking the question or acting like that's not what you're saying?

Everybody here just wants the best for LSU. The process at LSU under Miles has not been good this year despite our record, and if some of you yes fans want to bury your head in the sand and call people pussies and trolls, hate LSU, go for it. You just make yourself look stupid. Hope it improves like every other LSU fan.

How is Les being kept against his will? If he wants another job, the only one I recall having a penalty was UM which he has a buyout of $1.25 Million. If I recall, there may be a $500,000 buyout for Les to another school.
Realize that UM paid $2.5 Million to buyout RichRod from WVU. Why would they not pay half that to get Les?
The only one stuck in a bad place with the contract is LSU, not Les. He's guaranteed his money. PERIOD. If he'd rather go to another school, he's not limited by his contract in any way outside of a menial buyout.
