I think people like BK will go to LSU because it seems like the best place to win a title with the minimum of hurdles to get there, and you'll get a soft landing if you fail.

I think people like Lane may ultimately choose UF because he's hoping it's his last major spot and the average high end candidate would rather that be at a place like UF than a unique environment like LSU/Louisiana. And, if you do well, you'll never get tapped out on resources at UF. I don't think it's likely at LSU or any other large SEC school, but there is a lower theoretical ceiling.

And Lane having FL ties only bolsters that.

If Lane left Ole Miss, I thought it would be to Florida. Florida doesn't have a state income tax

People who think Lane would choose Florida over LSU based on a 450K difference? Or do you think LSU wouldn't pony up an extra 500K on a 13 million dollar contract to get him if he's the guy they want? Louisiana has a 3% state income tax.

BR is rated the 3rd most dangerous city in the US after NOLA and Memphis. Not like BR is some great place to live. It actually is eroding into further decay on a daily basis when no end in sight.

Was listening to Bill King this AM. He was acting like he actually knew anything about this search. He doesn’t and neither do you. The best sources on what lanes getting ready to do are at Ole Miss because they’re the ones closest to him. And I don’t see anyone at all this panicking right now.

You mean that “Hotty Toddy” publication that’s desperately putting out articles begging Lane to stay each day?

He did? Wheres the link?

There isn't one. Just the OP wishcasting and trying to make it through another day as a fan of a second tier football team who wants oh so badly to get back to the glory days of Tim Tebow, Urban Meyer and the Ole Ball Coach. Those days are long gone. Reality has set in, he just chooses to either ignore it or not accept it.

He's as bad as the "It's Saban. Saban to LSU is a done deal" LSU folks.

Words mean nothing until the contract is signed, even then sometimes the deal still falls through.

Just confirmed with someone close to Kiffin that he has not made a decision.

It appears the Florida folks have jumped the gun.

In fact, this source is adamant that Kiffin will either be at LSU or will stay at Ole Miss.

Neither Florida nor LSU are relevant programs. And LSU has been largely irrelevant since 2012 other than 2019. This is like 2 six year olds arguing over who is taller. Who cares. You’re still short as frick

Be my guest… this is a place to program boast… show your wall skins or eat my arse.

other than 2019.

So other than having the greatest college football team ever assembled, LSU is irrelevant. The same irrelevant program that had another Heisman winning qb a couple years later, our second Heisman winning qb in less than a 5-year span. Got it. That LSU team BROKE college football as we all know it. Seems as though they broke you as well.
