Wait, we are talking about the former falcons head coach Mike Smith? Lol

As Jacksonville's DC, the Jags defenses were really good under him. He was also LB coach before that with the Ravens.

No shite, you chuckle head. Everyone would be required to shite their pants if he became our DC. It's an absurd suggestion.

lost our guy to a usually cheap Penn State. Penn State did with Shoop what Alleva wouldn't do with Chavis. Idiot.

Man frick you & the pussy you crawled out of. I didn't bring Smith's name up but just commented on his credentials. Last I checked this was an open discussion, fricktard.

Looks like this is the beginning of the decline for LSU. How can a "premiere" program like LSU not hire a home run DC at this point? And how can a DC rather stay at Penn State then come to LSU? And how can our former DC leave us for our fricking division rival? I'm really trying to be positive, but none of this is looking good to me unfortunately.

1. No hire has been made so we don't know if a premier coach is coming here or not. There are more than a handful of good defensive coaches in play here. Missing one or two ( allegedly ) is not a huge deal. No need to panic until someone actually gets hired and we see their defense on the field.

2. Coaches move around. It happens. Aggies paid him a shite ton of money and lsu feels like they can get a similar or better caliber coach for less money. If they are right then they come out looking golden.

3. Relax. Miles knows this hire is important. He has to do his due diligence and find the best fit. What message board posters think of his timeline is of no concern to him.

Great was dead set against it from the beginning. It's funny how everyone gets their hopes up on just an interview. I just hope the new hire has ties to recruiting in the South.
