Heard that he wants to o bring his coaches with him which could be a hold up. It’s not college where you can demand that. You can ask but they will have to do something with current coaches. Guessing he is only asking for a few though

He’s the AD for the Zachary community school district which allows him to make more

This isn’t true , Brewerton isn’t taking the West Monroe job

140k would be on the high end for top Texas schools. I’m not saying he’s not getting that but if he is that’s a massive commitment from a Louisiana school and I would imagine impossible for any school to try to match/beat
True to an extent. The highest paid head coach in Texas is Scott Surratt at Carthage. His contract is worded that he makes $1 less than the Superintendent makes and that’s just what’s on paper. He also gets his whole family’s medical, dental, vision insurance paid for by the school district. He & his wife’s cell phone bills are paid for. He gets a gas card for school & personal use, gets a new truck every 2-3 years that he doesn’t pay, free local country club family membership. And that’s a guy that win 10 Stare Championships.

I would have to see the contract to believe that. High end head coaches in Texas don’t get that kind of money.
I heard when Parkview hired Stefan LeFors that he got $125K a year which is really good money. That’s average pay for head coaches at the 5A-6A level in Houston-Dallas. The money head coaches in Texas make is just different. For Example; Tatum high school in East Texas makes $130K a year and that’s a 3A school.

Are those coaches the AD for a whole school district ? Brewerton isn’t just the head football coach . He’s the AD for Zachary High , The middle schools and the elementary schools that have athletic events.

Yes they are, that’s standard operating procedure in Texas. There aren’t many head coaches that aren’t the district’s AD as well. Even in the huge school districts in Texas like Dallas ISD, Ft Worth ISD, Houston ISD, CY Fair ISD, Katy ISD the head coaches are the campus AD’s and they still get paid $110K-140K a year.

Some are and some aren’t. Coaches in big districts aren’t but most of the single school districts (not all) have the HFC/AD as a single role.
Scott Surratt is the highest paid coach in the state, Hank Carter at Lake Travis right behind that. There is probably less than 5 guys in the 150s. Most are in the 100-125 range
Edited: after looking it up, the coach at Barbers Hill is at like 180k but that’s far above and beyond anyone else. The rest of what I said is still accurate

There’s two things I can guarantee you! Brew is over 120k and he won’t be taking the West Monroe job.
Zachary has 9 starters returning on defense and 6 on offense and also have a 6’3 transfer QB from Mississippi. Zachary could very well be playing for another state championship next year!

I wasn’t speculating or offering any insight. I have none. I was simply curious if he would have a reason to leave

I gotcha ! This could be a special year in Bronco land and he’s fully aware of it especially coming off a subpar year with a very young team.

Alumni here, I genuinely wish the best for this program and the kids. That said, they need to re-district this area and send the kids to STHS. The school has been torn down and this gives STHS to go to 5-A. No need to spend the money on rebuilding the school when there is already an established institution a few miles away they can add too. The outward migration of this area doesn’t sustain two high schools.
Same here, 95' graduate. While I was there we were competive Under Coach Cleve Joseph. At the time we had the best of everything you could have In a school as it was pretty much brand new, my brothers class of 92'was the first class to go there for all 4 years.
I agree, needs to go back to like it was in the up till 89 when all of the Eastside went to ST.
