Why hasn't Patterson gotten a bigger job already?

He seems very happy at TCU fwiw and they are moving to another conference so that's exciting.

I'm told Mack Brown doesn't plan to retire any time soon.

Retire is the key word there...how long can he live off of 5-7 or 7-5 (assuming they lose to Baylor) seasons?

I'm not so sure. They didn't seem to be too happy with Mackovick when he started shitting the bed. And there is huge pressure with getting the LHN on cable providers listings (it's not currently available in too many homes right now).

-U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Baltimore-

Strike 1: Any decisions made in that shitty city automatically discredits your link and most livable city status...

Strike 2: Article By Stan Diel -- The Birmingham News - self explanatory...

Didn't they extend Mack's contract a couple of years ago to 2016 at $5 million a year. It would probably cost them plenty to get rid of him now, but then of course they have "plenty." It was suggested by some that Mack's raise and contract extension was one of the reasons Muschamp left when Florida came calling.

Mackovick didn't win them a national title and having them playing for another...

I heard talk before Thanksgiving from cousins livimg in Dallas that 3 rich alumni were preparing $6 million a year offer to Saban. I told them they were crazy. Now, this week Texas coach Brown talks retirement???????? My cousin works in the Governor's office and heard it. Really.

Eventually y'all will be right about Nick Saban stepping down at Alabama. But until then, keep dreaming. I'm even sure why we do this song and dance every year around this time. Les Miles has LSU at heights it has never seen.

Will LSU ever get over Saban? "He'll do you just like he did us!" Jilted lovers.
