This is not a Michigan plane, just a rich dude with a Michigan paint job. This was posted Friday by others, has been repeated by others. Not just me.
So it's pure coincidence that this plane painted Mich colors, just so happens to start showing up in hot spots tied to Mich right as they hit the trail for searching a new coach. GTFO

no. just no.

We heard stories just like this in 2006 of planes coming from Ann Arbor, planes coming from Tuscaloosa, planes from and they were ALL BS

I'm not doubting that Michigan and/or their reps are coming to BR and there is a chance he is gone, but it's just that these flight maps are usually just bogus.

Maybe Michigan isn't worried about flying under the radar (pun intended) on this trip because it's a done deal with Miles, and this is all a formality. In other words, they are just here to pick him up for a Monday trip to AA, and with weather being an issue, they came today.

guy is also one of the biggest Michigan donors. Think he recently donated $22 mil? This isn't just some guy painting his plane because he likes UofM...

If this turns out to be the case, they'll take him tomorrow for an announcement, or they'll have to wait until Wednesday since he is speaking at that conference in Dallas.

Although that's the first I've heard of that specific theory... it's quite possible.

Yes, the plane is used by a lot of different people. Michigan included. Believe what you want. This thread is a great story. It just happens to have no bearing on Miles.

You've been proven wrong several times in this thread so please stop trolling....

Oh and for those that haven't seen this, the numbers in this pic also match the exact plane that's in BR right now....

Winning entry for a contest to design the paint job for the LearJet that transports the University of Michigan's President and faculty.

I'm not claiming any inside information, just throwing out a possibility like everyone else. It makes sense to me because bringing in a plane with a giant M on it is far from discrete, and would be a big slap if the face if they didn't get him after all that.

Alternatively, this could be Brandon's way of pleasing one of the factions. He can say "I tried everything I could to get Les."

NOLA.com just reporting that Miles will be at Patrick Peterson's draft declaration tomorrow at 11 AM. Probably won't know anything about the coaching job before then.

I'm confused, I will ask again, why do we care if there is a UM logo'd plane at BTR? Even if it does or doesn't have anything to do with Miles, why are we concerned? If this was happening last month, then it would be news.

Maybe it's back up for AD Brandon in case the hood rats steel the rims off the "real" plane.

Not sure how Savannah and Westchester play in but Lloyd Carr lives in Hilton Head and Michigan's search firm is in NYC along with one of their major booster. This is all speculation.

I don't know how Savannah fits in either. If they were going to Hilton Head, why wouldn't they just fly into Hilton Head? It's a good hour drive from HH to SAV. The jet has made a couple of stops in Thomasville, GA (outside of Tallahassee) too, possibly for recruiting purposes.

If they try to be discrete and fail, it is a much bigger embarassment to the University. By putting it out there for public consumption they are showing Les how much they want him and what they are willing to do for him.

That and I really don't think they give a rats' arse about what the LSU stalker fanbase thinks.

You're late; read the whole thread. The flight map was legit. I watched the plane land at 2:11 according to the map. My contribution is on pg 13.

Unless Hoke is their guy and they will announce him Monday afternoon regardless. It's not just the LSU fanbase, having this plane on the ground in BTR will be noticed nationally.

With that being said, I agree that not getting him after this will be an embarrassment, and I believe it's a done deal.

A Detroit reporter got an email through to LSU's AD who says as of two hours ago he has not been contacted by Michigan. I don't know how important it is but it's relevant.
