Man this made some LSU fans mad.

I don't think this is true. There is a much more believable rumor involving the Arkansas State coach.

Our AD is a useless smartass. He's gotta be the weakest AD in the SEC so he understandably gets blamed for anything possible

That would be expected, unfortunately.

Baylor is about to make a better and smarter coaching hire than LSU.

i don't think any sane person can even attempt to argue that Baylor is sitting in a more attractive position than LSU.

that's what has LSU fans pissed off.

Wow. Isn't OK State his Alma Mater?

Yes, that is why I don't think he is leaving for Baylor which is in the same league and is at best a lateral move but in reality probably a step down.

Per ok state sideline reporter.

And you believe everything a reporter says? I guess you thought what Herbie said about MIles going to Michigan was true also.

Every single person in this thread praising Gundy woulda MELTED regardless if he was the hire because we didn't get Herman or Jimbo. Minus 1 or 2 posters NOONE would have been happy with a Mullet Gundy hire to replace Miles.....again

Gundy floating this through sideline reporter as power play to our AD. He wants the Oregon gig though

Not sure people understand how tough it is to win at OSU even with the Pickens money. There is very little home recruiting base and he's mostly picking scraps from Texas. Gundy does a great job and with a major home recruiting base and a more attractive program for assistants he would likely be a top 3 coach in the SEC

I doubt this is true beyond posturing for a raise though

Orgeron is is a top 3 coach in the SEC right now. The only 2 he lost too were in the conference championship. ............

Good. Les can go back to his old stomping grounds.

Gundy is a good coach but not a great one. If he was as good as some of you make him out to be why isn't he already coaching at a traditional power?

I was against hiring O but I'm not so sure we would be any better off with Gundy.

They've had like 15 years where they finished ranked in the top 25 over the past 100 years and Gundy has delivered 7 or 8 of them. (Les had ZERO)

To be fair to less, he had as many wins against Oklahoma in four years as Gundy has had in 11.

Gundy doesn't recruit much above the average of Oklahoma State. His recruiting ability is a legit question mark.
