No one has. I doubt they hire him, TBH. Just don't see them being able to justify him as the new face of Penn St.

I had forgotten all about that picture. I honestly don't think they'll hire him either NIH. I think the bullies will have him for a couple more years.

Good hire. Seems kind of like James Franklin. Ole Miss should be excited.

Delusion at its finest. Pete Boone had nothing to do with this hire. It was all Archie.
I think your sentiment, deep down, is a result of the thought that the most connected and famous individual in your entire base could do no better than hire Hugh Freeze. It is embarrassing and indicative of exactly what the Ole Miss football program is...it is what Washington State is to the Pac12 and what Indiana is to the Big10.
With that being said, Freeze may prove to be a winner. However, a winner for Ole Miss would get you fired at Bama, LSU, UF and AU. If Freeze can win 7 games a year on average, I think he should be viewed as a brilliant hire.

I still say that this hiring being the 4th head coach in 8 years at Ole Miss plus the fact that they don't have an AD seriously limited the search to only a few people who would consider it.

This is true. I don't think Sumlin and a few others were interested at all.
Leach was very much interested in the job though.
