I think more people believe this is actually happening than you think.

But probably not as many as I think.

My only question is: What is Finebaum going to do with all his Alabama gear if Saban leaves?

So basically.....ESPN is creating interest in their new venture with Finebaum

If I didn't know anything about Saban, it sure does look like he is ready to start a broadcasting career and get out of coaching.

This is great. A thread about what Paul Finebaum says is stickied. Any other time everyone would agree Finebaum doesn't know what the frick he is talking about.

Agreed.. But it's Nick Saban... the best coach in CFB.. LSU's former coach, Alabama's current coach, is about to leave for Texas.

Absolutely it would be a great in our eyes if he left.

You people have never understood how we feel about how he left us, and then came back to Alabama and then proceeded to land 5# 1 classes (working on a 6th) and win 3 NC's over 7 years..

so, yes, Personally, I'd like to see him retire, but if he wants Texas, that would be great by me...

LSU's class is about to be our best of all time, and I think we're about to go on another run for a National title, regardless of what Nick does...

Eventually Miles is going to beat the Tide 2 or 3 in a row again... you can book mark that..if you wish

So that suddenly makes Finebaum credible?

Absolutely understood.

Oh, I believe we understand. We read about it pretty much everyday. And again, absolutely understood.

Of course you would. Understood.

Nothing wrong with feeling good about your team.

Possibly. It's college football.

My point was Finebaum is usually frowned upon by most on this board but when it comes to what he says about Saban leaving, it gets stickied.

And frick LSU.

The Bama fans are reaching new depths of mad:
quote:

The CC board is a cesspool of absolute bullshite right now and Chicken and the admins are deleting anything that doesn't fit the "HE GONE HUR DUR" narrative to drive ad revenue and clicks. But by God, don't let someone with a script A post "Why, yes, Tony Brown will be taking an OV to Tuscaloosa this weekend" or you'll get RA'd to hell and banned. This ENTIRE site has gone to shite over the last few weeks. Again, when Saban stays I am going to be SUCH a snotty, bratty, bitch about it. Y'all just THINK you've seen me bitchy. Boys, I got reserve tanks of bitchiness that are just waiting and ready.

I'm beyond trying to comprehend that board now. It might be the biggest group of helpless retards ever gathered on one site.

I honestly think that we have some of the better fans on this site. It's just that LSU and Auburn fans try to convice everyone else that we're crazy, when it's really them.

Hey man, can't you leave politics out of this?
I'm a TPer and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

Even if Saban stays, maybe it'll at least open the eyes of some Bama fans(and the rest of the nation) as to the man of little character he is.

He needs to just come out and admit it's a business, and quit pretending he has any loyalty to anything other than himself.

I'm reminded of the parent/child relationship when I hear LSU fans (and Miami fans for that matter) telling Alabama fans about Saban's lack of integrity. Think of how parents try to give their teenage or college age kids advice on things they learned the hard way growing up and the teenager doesn't listen. The teenager/college aged person goes on to make that same mistake themself and it is then and only then when the child understands their parent's warning. That's what is happening here with is Bama fans with Saban. LSU fans can tell us about Saban's lack of integrity and loyalty until you're blue in the face and until Alabama fans get burned by him we aren't going to understand. That's called human nature. I don't understand why some LSU fans don't understand that.

Do you understand credibility analysis? It's not news if Finebaum picks Bama to win it all - because he says that, regardless. But if he is saying something negative about Saban and this situation - he is the least likely to "just be running with the story" - now, all of these rumors and rumors of rumors may have the same source (they almost certainly do, Sexton), and Finebaum may turn out to be wrong, as will many pundits and news sources who have come out publicly.

But to pretend that we can disregard Finebaum on some issues, yet give credence to these statements and this be, somehow, a contradiction or hypocritical? That's silly.

Troof right there, son.

I remember sitting on Christmas Day a couple of years ago thinking "Why would Saban want to got to that cesspool in Miami?"
