If Gonzo is OC then Les still needs another coach to replace Gonzo at Wide Receivers.

No, Gonzo will still coach WRs. If Gonzo is promoted to OC, Les will hire a QB coach (most likely Frank Scelfo).

This would be slightly anti-climatic, and not what I want, but it makes sense.

THANK GOD if true

I'd rather Crowton over Gonzales.

That is good news, IMHO. Don't know how reliable Crowton is at this point though.

Crowton also says BG would be great at the job though.

I usually just come here to read. I can't keep up with some of these folks. And after seeing people routinely get blasted for pointless first posts, made me a little more hesitant! Now my cherry is busted, you may see a little more of me.

Just to give you the traditional rant welcome...

frick you, you worthless noob! You suck monkey balls and your mother dresses you funny! Now go find something useful to do (like stick you head in a blender) and GTF off the rant!

...oh, and welcome aboard!

Can I inject some logical thinking here?

We just parted ways with an OC because of in game frick ups.

We experimented with co DCs which led to in game frick ups?

Wouldn't you think the first criterion for the new OC would be the ability to demonstrate that you can execute in game?

Billy may be an outstanding coach and recruiter but he's never done game planning or play calling on his own.

We're told Billy Gonzales is the clear leader to be LSU's new OC.
He did great work as our passing game coordinator.

Passing game was sharp.

Randy Rosetta tweet

RandyRosettaý Just spoke to LSU WRs coach Billy Gonzales and he doesn't plan on being a candidate for the newly opened OC job.
