Hopefully Cate has gotten on Ozempic

I assume you’re referring to Abbie Cornish, but it doesn’t look like she’s in the movie. If she is, it’s probably only a cameo.

Sienna Miller is the female lead in this one (an upgrade, IMO).

They could do an origin story

We don’t need an origin story. I don’t want to see young Bond in the Royal Navy or how he became a 00 (again). I’d rather see an Old Man Bond movie with Brosnan.

Is it too much to ask to give us a Bond who is already established as 007 and is sent out on a mission?

I enjoy listening to her when she is a guest on PMT.

Completely disagree. I have heard her several times on Russillo and she comes off as full of herself. I get that she’s an “insider,” but she makes it sound like she’s bragging about all the players and coaches she talks to.
Always liked the original Press Your Luck, and I was usually rooting for the Whammy.

re: LA28 Olympics

I have not, but apparently tickets are limited and the prices are outrageous.

quote:

For major events like artistic gymnastics, swimming, track and field, and tennis — all popular Summer Olympic competitions — prices for finals or even preliminary qualifying rounds are at least in the $700 range and some soccer qualifier rounds start at $100.

For example, a track and field mixed final ticket, which includes the women’s 5,000m final, is $745, while a swimming event featuring the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay is priced at $1,116. Most other sports have limited, if not any, standard ticket availability.

Things are barely even shooting in America. Take the game show THE FLOOR for example. They fricking fly every american contestant to Irleand, put them up, feed them. and it is cheaper than shooting on the fox back lot.

A GAME SHOW! just unreal what unions did to the industry.

On that same note, the new American Gladiators was filmed in France!

quote:

Filming occurred during summer 2025 at Aren'Ice in Cergy, France, the first time American Gladiators is filmed entirely outside of its national borders.[7]

after the credits ended Hulu suggested my next watch be Gilmore Girls

Same here. That was a nice touch.

Not a bad movie, but I thought it could have been better given the cast and the premise.

That said, I will watch the sequel (it has to be called “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice & Mike” right?).

I'm still waiting for his Star Trek concept.

Which, coincidentally, would have also featured gangsters from that time period since it was supposed to be based on the episode “A Piece of the Action” from TOS.

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 6:

Did anyone else notice the email sent to the Circuit City guy in 1997 came from “Alex Q.”?

Sinatra’s “Alex” may be a way to send messages back to the past and possibly travel there.

So, why are they still underground? Seems they could go topside. Does Sinatra have a reason she wants them to stay underground for a while?

Some of this is addressed in the first season. Sinatra doesn’t want those in the bunker to know what life is really like outside the bunker. As for the reasoning, that hasn’t been fully explained yet, but I suspect it has something to do with her secret project.

The ones at the grocery store taste more like Sister Schubert’s than Texas Roadhouse.

I've never watched a Bond movie, nor has my wife. My wife wanted to know if we needed to start with the first one. I assume the character doesn't build so there's no particular order to watch them in.

What would you recommend we start with?

Start with From Russia with Love (which is actually the second in the series after Dr. No). Many consider From Russia with Love to be the best Bond movie. I would start with that and then Goldfinger next (which directly followed From Russia with Love). You can always go back to Dr. No, and you don’t need to see Dr. No to understand what’s going on in From Russia with Love.

Also i can totally see a Jem Hadar boning a Klingon. So that character doesn't bother me as much as it bothers others.

Except for the fact that Jem’Hadar aren’t able to reproduce.

quote:

Jem'Hadar were generated in birthing chambers or hatcheries. Their growth cycle was accelerated such that they reached full maturity only three days after emergence. They did not procreate naturally, and their species consisted solely of males.

To get a CFP Semifinal assignment, it means they are the best crew in the SEC (which, admittedly, isn’t saying much).

I’m believing that Kiffin got a bad vibe from Leavitt and his camp and distanced himself after the visit

It seems that in addition to the health concerns, there are off the field concerns with Leavitt as well. It’s telling that he hasn’t signed with anyone yet.

What jackass would tell Captain Picard how to speak?

Probably the same guy who tried to tell Captain Kirk how to speak.

Here’s an article I found which analyzes UW’s standard NIL agreement. Note that the language in Williams’ contract may differ from the form agreement.

LINK

Here’s their breakdown of what the form agreement says about damages:

quote:

Dellenger is reporting that Washington is refusing to enter Williams into the transfer portal. But that doesn’t matter with this language, because he only has to transfer to trigger it. Washington’s duty to pay him ends, and now he actually owes them money (assuming this language wasn’t negotiated by any reps before it was signed). He would have to pay back anything already received (prorated, but this was recent so he’d probably owe most of anything he’s already been paid), plus him or the new school would have to pay liquidated damages equal to everything Washington hadn’t paid him yet.

Yes, he’d owe money not even paid to him yet. So, between the two clauses, we’re talking about all, or most, of the reported $4 million
