It was. You don't get lucky twice, however.

Besides, hiring after a 3-9 season and a pretty fricking terrible decade with a plethora of losing seasons is NOT the same as hiring after winning an NC and having a 9 win season.

The program was in a totally different position to go out and get a qualified coach instead of a guy who made his career on upsetting Stoops.

Oh no? We have 2 crystal trophies that say otherwise.

Make a statement and right the ship. That's what leaders do. He will gain far more respect from the fans and his team if he does this sooner rather than later...regardless of the bowl outcome.

Good. But this logic will probably go over the heads of a lot of kool-aid drinkers out there.

Hopefully Miles has informed the defense they will have a new coordinator next year. If not expect three weeks of unproductive practice and another poor performance in the bowl game.

Glad to see Miles doesn't listen to LSU's amature coaching staff.

Without a competent QB to lead the team this year, we had no chance to compete for an SEC title.

Lee is still our best chance at winning our bowl game, but he will get the hook after his first stupid interception.

If he did, he might have hired someone other than the dreaded Malleveto.

Whose fault do you think it was that we didn't have a competent QB? fricking John Lombardi's? John Brady's? Bill Arnsparger's? No. That blame falls directly at Les Miles' feet. He gets paid almost 4 million dollars a year. That's his fricking job.

I'm a Miles supporter but I have do agree with Rocket. There is no reason LSU shouldn't have had more than one SEC caliber QB. JL didn't pan out so far, but why was Hatch on the damn roster. He couldn't throw more than 30 yards with any kind of velocity. With that scholarship he could have found someone.

-------------------------------------------------
If my memory serves me right, LSU wanted about 3 other coaches before him. The top canidates said no, and he said yes. I don't think he was LSU's first choice after Saban left
-------------------------------------------------

Who were the top three coaches that turned down the job. We didn't want Petrino, Skip wouldn't let Del Rio finish his season at Jax. Secondly,
Les will ABSOLUTELY have a new DC and I suspect that it will be either Tenuta or Walker(if he doesn't get a HC job)as the top choices with Chavis the 3ed choice.

I hope you're right.......win or lose vs. Ga Tech, Miles better have someone locked up for the DC
