Based on your new HC it may be that long before your team beats Bama again.
You're being rude.
But correct.

How you know? He may go play hockey with his son in law and drop dead from a heart attack like Alan Thicke. You never know.

The dude makes just as much as NFL coaches, has complete control over his program, and complete immunity in Alabama from any legal trouble. He's not going anywhere.

Sounds like his NFL stint bothers LSU fans more than it bothers CNS. Wishful thinking lol.

But he's failed, failed in his only stint at the highest level of football. Meanwhile Pete Carroll is a world champion. That has to eat at him.
Keep telling yourself Saban gives a frick about the NFL if it makes you sleep better. He was ordinary, not a complete washout with Miami but reached an epiphany he was cut out to be a college coach.

Agreed Saban is a control freak and he is in the best position to be just that. He has every advantage at Bama, so he is heaven. He is never questioned in any area so why would he leave for the NFL? His reputation is as the greatest current and possibly ever college coach, his ego is stroked.

This. Conversely, what LSU needed was a super HC without the out of control ego, thirst for power and control, did not have a personality folks at the top could not stand and understood their calling was CFB and not NFL. Saban unfortunately was not it. That is the legacy coach LSU has been searching for. Jimbo would have come the closest to that. Orgeron has a lot yet to prove to become that.

Dude is a competitor. Of course it bothers him he was not elite in the NFL. Not saying he would go back, but do you honestly think it does not bother him that he was not the best in the NFL?

I don't believe it even crosses his mind. There's a difference in baby sitting millionaires and making and molding young men into quality football players. This is where Saban saw where he could make a difference and the path he chose. He will be known as the greatest college football coach of the modern era and I thinks he's good with that.

I just do not think the guy is ever "good" with anything. It is what makes him such a top notch coach.
