HAHAHAHAHAHA! No, you really, really can't. I would take the time to explain contracts to you, but you're almost certainly too dim to understand any of it.

Has it been pointed out that the Weston Legal article is not even from that law firm?

All y'all have done is bitch about every Saban thread on this board. That's what this board is here for. Think of it like the tunnel from Willy Wonka. Crazy shite gets thrown out and that's the purpose of this board.

What bitching have I done in this thread?

I've asked for facts and records.

You are the main one bitching in the threads. And that's about Alabama fans.

So can I get some clarity...

So Saban has 14m in debt tied to Spinosa in BR and 25m in debt tied to some Houston complext?

If that is true

Doc has claimed the Spinosa debt was suddenly dissolved and now we are saying the Houston debt is gone?

What proof is there of this?

TheDoc's sources.

Which he claimed he didn't even know he had.

This is typically incorrect. Most CRE loans have a default provision that makes them immediately callable, which it sounds like this loan had triggered a default at some point. If the loan was sold, it had been in default for awhile or at least operating under a forebearance agreement.

Not me. I love this thread. I hope it continues forever. One anonymous guy posts a linkless, unsourced paragraph about this huge debt that the Sabans have, and suddenly people are talking about buying markers like Tony Soprano and joint and several liability. It's simply fascinating and hilarious.

Lots of claims of public records, but I see NONE linked.

Not all public bodies have online access, a business reporter goes to the records and then writes the article. Several of those articles have been linked. Heres a refresher:

$12.5 M = Saban 50% ownnership of bankrupt Houston apt compkex
$3M = Sabans losses on The Pointe at Lake Burton
$750K = Mrs Sabans purchase of BR land
??? = Sabans exposure on $170M Perkins Rowe bankruptcy, and 50M fed fine for TD Bank

$16.25M that we know for sure has Sabans signature on it. There may be more Has Saban even cleared that in 6 years at Bama?

He wants that to go away. Soon

We actually have some pretty good posters here. Doc is one of them.

Yes. Weston was just referencing an article from the Baton Rouge advocate. Both articles have been removed, but tritiger had the cached version from Weston's firm.

I guess it's possible, but it depends on how willing you are to believe an anonymous poster on the internet with no sources and no proof.

None.

So these are his only investments, right? If so, let's get that food drive started. I wouldn't want him and Terry to starve during the holidays.

Oh, well, then I stand corrected. If an anonymous crazy on an internet board says this Doc guy is legit, then who needs things like proof or sources or anything?

I totally believe it! I also believe that if you own someone's debt, then you can call it at any time! It's so easy to believe.

no proof
The first post links the renegotiation related to the Perkins Rowe debt. I have no clue of what Saban's ties are to that debt. A quick search shows that he at least had some ownership of the water chiller. The linked article from the advocate flat out states he had a 49.5% interest in the Houston property. No clue whether he provided a personal guaranty or not.

edit: none of this could mean anything. If both notes were renegotiated at virtually the same time, it is quite the coincidence. Just interesting...

What about Poodlebrain's post?

quote:

I was under the impression that Saban's interest in Perkins Rowe was limited to an ownership interest in the entity that supplies chilled water. That entity was separate from the development that was foreclosed and sold at auction. The chilled water facility is guaranteed to make a profit, and by extension, so is Saban. The contract between the chilled water providing entity and Perkins Rowe is an area of contention for the new owners of Perkins Rowe since it is a valuable asset that Spinosa shielded from the original lenders to Perkins Rowe.
