Are you telling me that there will be THREE fricking planes in Baton Rouge that are certainly, or loosely affiliated with the University of Michigan?
The only other thing that I just learned is that Brandon was indeed on that plane headed back to Michigan. Not sure if thats new info or not.

Hey guys. Just wanted to say hi...so hi.

and was the team meeting called for brandon to tell the players "we got nothing?"
Has this been actually confirmed? I know scout is reporting this, but it seems like it would be a little more widespread than that. College aged kids tend to talk about shite like that.

This is why I think they have someone. They are going to announce a new coach to the players. Only thing is, they don't even have to ask Hoke, he has pre-accepted. So this meeting doesn't quite guarantee Miles, but my gut feeling says Brandon and Miles have struck a deal.

I think that if he took the job he would be on that plane for an announcement first thing in the AM.
yes, you never leave without your man, because winning the press conference is ultra-important. You're not going to let him linger a few days before getting him to town.

If he is still the LSU coach there is a good chance it will be Shaw's plane.

Seriously guys...just hi.
Posted on 1/10/11 at 8:14 pm to Linkovich
There is a team meeting tomorrow. Brandon needs to be in A2 for that. Perhaps talks will continue tomorrow?

SIAP.

So Les told them to GTFO and the presser tomorrow is to announce that Les is a "LSU Man" for life.

We're looking at the video and Les Miles not one of the people who boarded the plane. Flight is not headed to Dallas but to Michigan.

FYI:
Coaches cancel speaking engagements at clinics all the time when they change jobs.
In fact, it's common for coaches to cancel a speaking engagement at a clinic MONTHS after taking a new job.
I wouldn't put much stock in Dallas.

You do if you have an agenda.
They want him there for the basketball game - he has a prior speaking commitment - Les is a stand-up guy, so he honors the commitment.
He informs the team tomorrow, then heads up to MI.

I just don't buy that people are flying multi-million dollar bizjets around the country for a smokescreen when it's public knowledge that they're looking for a new coach. Nothing to be gained and a lot of money to lose.
The plane came from Dallas carrying representatives from UM and a deal to be signed. Miles either signed it or he didn't. We won't know which until somebody gets in front of a camera and tells us.

Or they landed the plane there to make it look like they went after Miles so they can say "sorry we tried" and no one would know any different.
Posted on 1/10/11 at 8:16 pm to RummelTiger
Rummel you think they lock up Les tonight and don't announce it until Wednesday? really?

As a UM fan wouldn't this make you support the new coach more if they just said, we don't get a crap about Miles.
