its a small town with a small town atmosphere...

Brah, it ain't that small.

It's bigger than most SEC college towns save Nashville and Knoxville.

And the traffic is far worse than any small city I've ever visited.

But as someone who grew up in Baton Rouge, I know it can't be that attractive to someone like Miles who didn't grow up in the South. He didn't come to Baton Rouge because it's the greatest place to live in America. It's not. But it does have one of the best programs to be a college football coach of and one of the most passionate fanbases in the country. That's the only reason he came to Baton Rouge. And the only thing that we get him to leave is an opportunity to take his dream job at Michigan.

It's as simple as that. You don't have to dump shite all over Baton Rouge to make that point.

I live in DFW, and have lived and worked all across the country. Last night, before the game, during the game and after the game, affirmed for me what I already knew.

People, by and large, from Louisiana and Baton Rouge area in particular, are the friendliest, most fun-loving group on the planet. I added eight new friends to my phone last night, every one from there. I had Tiger fans walk out of their way to bring me into their part and offer me food and beer. People I just met sync'd their calendar with mine for trips they have coming up here to DFW so that we can meet for beer and to visit.

NO where else in the country will Miles be so blessed to be around a collective group of passionate people who truly care that others around them are having as good a time as they are.

If I could earn what Miles earns, there is no fricking way I would ever leave.
