It’s been pretty well documented that he called Skip before taking the Alabama job and was basically told we were happy with Miles.
I’m not sure if you’re going to find it in print but Skip has mentioned it in radio interviews and it’s been mentioned several times by BR sports radio hosts.

It was in an interview regarding LSU fans upset he went to Bama. He said well the LSU job wasnt open.
