I used them when they first opened up based on recommendation from a friend. Canceled my services a few months later because I didn't trust them and felt like the owner was very shady.
They would send an email stating they were performing whatever service that day. Then send an invoice. I called the owner and said I wasn't paying for fertilizing the yard because they didn't complete the service when I saw no evidence of fertilizer in the yard. He said he would send them back out. He called me later to tell me they came back out and fertilized the whole yard front and back. I said that's interesting because I have a locked gate to my back yard which isn't open because you didn't tell me your were coming today.
I agree

re: SEC, Big 10 deciding whether playoff expansion will be 16 or 24 teams

Honestly can someone tell me what is wrong with 12?
It's two less games than 16 teams and 6 less games than 24 teams. Viewership is through the roof and ESPN wants to capitalize on that market through ad sells. FOLLOW THE MONEY!
By applying the playoff tag to some of their bowl game match ups they can increase viewership anywhere from 30-300% while making the bowl games that their competition carries completely irrelevant.
Additionally it will give ESPN access to the "dead" weekend between conference championship weekend and the first round of the playoffs. This will kill the Army/Navy game as we know it as ESPN redirects the 10 MM viewers from the only game in town from CBS to the playoff games.
This will eventually be 32 teams once they kill the conference championship games.

Yes, similar to I10 and every other road in the country.
You mean similar to USPS and CATS. A gov't organization that is run as a private business but no way it hell it will would ever generate enough revenue from operations to sustain itself!
If interstates followed a similar model charged tolls across the system. They would probably more than pay for themselves.

How so? Hiring a teenage girl at $15/hr is $600 a week.
I would be willing to bet that if you put pen to paper the cost is more reasonable than you would expect.

The NCAA is truly run by retards & should be dissolved.
While your statement may be true it doesn't apply here.
This isn't a NCAA event or championship. This is Dr Pepper sponsored Championship. Seriously its media/Conference driven event that the NCAA allows its members to participate in. Its a money grab which is why it will keep expanding until you get to 32 teams.
The decisions aren't based on logic for competition they are based on what generates more revenue. See previous comment about 32 teams. I believe that's where we are headed and will lose the Army/Navy game as we know it today and eventually the CCGs.

Weird location, maybe would’ve done better further down Perkins Rd
Weird location? Is that code for right next to one of BR's most popular restaurants? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact in the general area they were competing against:
Louisiana Lagniappe
Rouj Creole
Roux 61(Closed now)
Drago's (new to area)
Tallulah
Supper Club
I think it has more to do with outside seafood restaurants trying to enter a market that is saturated with home grown competition.

So a market for paying 18-22 year old athletes to play college sports?
You're playing semantics here. A "black" market amongst boosters to gain a competitive edge of course. That market has existed since the day college football was invented.
Remove the schools from the equation and its a market that no one cares about ala USFL and these athletes have zero NIL value.

Millions of dollars that used to be deliverered under the table in secret is now getting taxed correctly. Thats about the only difference. Its not a brand new situation.
Yet the media created a narrative that these same players can't afford to go on a date or out to eat to push their agenda.

There is very clearly a huge market for these athletes because the second the Court struck down the prohibition on paying these players, NIL turned into a multibillion dollar industry
Only because its pay for play now under the guise of NIL. Its obviously being abused which is why the NCAA has partnered with Delloitte going forward to form a NIL clearinghouse.

No he didn't. A rabid desperate fan base with deep pockets excited about a move to the SEC built the stadium. The only reason anyone in this world knows his name is because he was given the opportunity to play football at aTm.

This was and is true right now. However, with sports gambling really taking off I’m not sure how long it will be true. The NFL might have a market for feeder leagues tightly associated with each team mainly supported by gaming.
I hope you're right. Then we will get college football back, but unfortunately I think you're wrong.

College football, basketball, and baseball (to a lesser degree) are the only systems in the entire world where people make the argument that people who drive the revenue should be legally prohibited to contract for their services.
Its also the only system in the world where organizations lose money and yet the uneducated public screams that that the participants should be paid millions.
NIL is a joke. These athletes have zero market value without being tied to the school. The vast majority of people watch, attend the games, and pay the athletes way too much because of their love for the letters/logo on the helmet not back of the of the jersey

Or better yet, just create a semi-pro league these players can play in. Have to be over 18, but under 25. Let college football go back to being college football.
I've been saying this for years, but it won't sell without the dedication and passion of fans tied to a college. Our media overlords realize this and created one via college football.
Look at USFL as well as NBA and MLB minor league attendance and viewership compared college football, basketball, and baseball especially the playoffs. Theoretically, superior products with inferior following.
It's not about the talent on the field its about some form of established rapport to the teams playing and a captive audience. How else do you sell out NFL stadiums and generate 10 MM viewers for the Army/navy game!

Almost every problem with the CFP ties back to the fact that we are using bowl games for quarters and semis 4 weeks after the season ends.
No it doesn't. Almost every problem with the CFP centers around manufactured controversy. Why because that's what sells. This entire playoff system isn't about finding a true champion its about generating money via selling ads.
Most of the controversy centers around polls, who was left out, and WTF are G5 schools in the conversation. We've worn that narrative out over the past month. We have an upset so we create a new controversy about the layoff and bye week is now a disadvantage.
If the layoff becomes a statistical anomaly then the simple fix go to a 16 team playoff or an 8 team playoff. Since we're selling ads it will be more games and will remain on New Years why because there is a huge void of entertainment here!
New Year's would completely suck if we took away a day full of good football games!
