Looks like they are trying to compete with Emirates. How is this different than Delta One?

We road trip with 3 kids all the time. It's easier if you have a planned stopping point because you can find a relatively cheap VRBO at the destination vs trying to find a hotel along the way vs finding a hotel that will sleep 5.

Cost of meals, gas, and lodging add up quickly.

But you don't have to subscribe for Super Cruise. At least not the first 3 years.

For example, Ford just had a recall on F150's for transmission problems.

I saw that. That happened to me several years ago. Driving 75 on interstate and all of a sudden it starts down shifting. Fortunately it was still under warranty when they fixed it. Can't believe it took them seven years to find the fix.

To be fair the recall isn't on the physical transmission. It's a software upgrade for the computer that controls the transmission.
GMC with baby Diesel gets 25 mpg. Much smoother ride than my F150. Super Cruise feature is awesome if you spend a lot of time on interstate.
American Prime evil. I don't remember the name of it but there was another one with Nicholas Cage.

Agree Godless was pretty good.

Same here. You always hear about the wins. Never hear about the losses.

Or leave the state within 5 years?

This is not practical and how do you enforce it? Kids have no control over this. Engineer accepts a job with Exxon expecting to work at BR Refinery but Exxon transfers them to Baytown a couple of years later. Most local companies are hiring experienced applicants over new graduates.

Yes we hear about the brain drain but from my experience several of those that leave eventually find their way back home.

Side question: Are human operated tanks now completely obsolete?

I had a few conversations with some friends about this over the weekend. Yes tanks are quickly becoming obsolete due to drone warfare.

I wouldn't say that military has been "caught" flat footed because that implies complacency. I would say the dynamics of drone warfare are changing faster than we can adapt.

Will likely be more when my kids are in high school.

Not likely, it WILL be more. School tuition will go up 3-5% per year like clockwork. Plan on $40-$45K per year by the time they are in HS.

I just want planes to load from back to front.

If you're going suggest changes that will never happen why not go with most efficient method: back to front windows, back to front center, then aisle?

We have been injecting CO2 into these same formations for over 50 years without any monumentally disastrous consequences.

Nobody has given two shits about EOR operations for decades but use the same technology for a highly politicized application and now everyone cares!

I know a few from the service academies that have made wonderful careers

It's not because they went to a Service Academy. They were likely on a path to a wonderful career before they arrived at the Academy. Otherwise they would not have been given an appointment in the first place.

Then don’t join the military. You don’t belong in it if you’re not willing to fight whenever called upon by your country and your commander-in-chief.

Just because someone doesn't believe the cause is right doesn't mean they are not willing to go when called upon by their CIC?

I had a similar experience a couple of years ago while pumping gas. A lady pulls up in a decked out Tahoe and then asked for gas money.

In my opinion this is the main reason. Most burners take too long to get back to a boil.

Been telling my liberal BIL/SIL this for years. Quit trying to change the US. Just move to Europe since it's obviously so much better over there.

You need to google the price to determine the value and check it against your employer's gift policy to ensure you are not suppose to report the gift to your management.

Not following the policy is a good way to eventually get fired over something stupid and preventable.
