Yes but it's Missouri. He's got them in the National Championship hunt. That's hard to do.

dude i've said he's gone since before the season and it just looks even more likely now

So, in short, I should go put a second mortgage on the house and bet that money that Les stays.

Agreed. The last time we had to do this, all of the good names had already been scooped up by the time we found out. This time, I have to believe that damn near every big name in the country is waiting to see if Les leaves.

He just recruited a 5 star qb, and he's got an exciting offense.

Yes and no. The kid is from Missouri and originally committed to Nebraska. He was red all the way until Callahan went on a losing binge like a drunk in tub of Dewars. He changed his commitment later down the line. Pinkel didn't have to do much.

missouri has a lot more recruiting options than a lot of the big12 with urban areas like st louis and KC right there

dude let me put it another way

missouri has been shitty in the BIG 12 NORTH

1 game schedule

....and he lost that game

Ok, what about the little Stoopes from Arizona? Maybe he hasn't proven himself enough but Arizona has kind of turned things around since he's been there.

what is your love of guys who coach barely bowl elligible teams?

*edit: and i know SOS is barely bowl elligible this year, but the SEC East is a lil diff than the Big12 north or pac10 (with its round robin schedule guaranteeing you play every shitty team in the conf)

No way. Why do you want someone like this? Why? Out of all the possible canidates, how does this guy come within the realm of a good idea?

I don't want someone who kinda did anything! And you're right he hasn't proved that he can do anything. That's why we wouldn't want him.

Stoops was probably going to lose his job if he hadn't beat a dixon-less Oregon team. hell he may still get canned

What do you guys think of Steve Sarkisian getting a head gig?

I think he has a good shot but wouldn't want to hand him LSU's reins without HC experience.

I think spurrier really wants to prove he's not washed up and win another NC to cement his legacy as one of the SEC's all time best. He'd also like another chance to stick it to UF

if SOS does come I wonder if that shakes up recruiting any. I'd think Jordan Jefferson will probably lose his offer.

true

however i was thinking about it...SOS did go to newton last year and they had success with it

he saved their season last year. maybe SOS will keep some mobile hybrid guys and adapt

but he is an arrogant a-hole, so prolly not

I just don't think our next coach is going to be Spurrier, Tuberville, Bob Stoopes, etc. so I'm trying to figure out who it will be because these obvious names everyone is throwing out to me is just a pipe dream. Tubby has a good job, Spurrier is in his 60's and likes golf more than football, Stoopes will not leave OU.
