The DC will and SHOULD have heavy input and co-final decision on his staff. DC needs to be agreement with the DL coach. Your comment doesnt't make sense -- O is under contract until Saints season is over in 2 weeks and fails to take into consideration management heirarchy.

That doesn't matter. He could easily accept now and still finish his final 2 weeks with the Saints.

I can tell you for a fact that they have had discussions. I can't tell you if it was when he went to cali.
The short list of names will be coming shortly. this thing is moving fast.
I was informed at approximately 4 p.m. of this information and that peveto appeared to be be getting the job. shortly there after it became public.
les has not made a decision, he has a list and will make it public once the d.m. deal is public. things are in the works quickly.
wouldn't be surprised if we did have an announcement of the new d.c. prior to the bowl as he stated originally.

i was told mallory is leaving. he was the first to leave. i was told it appears b.d.p. is will get the job a n.w.. i don't know why the mallory change hasn't gone public yet.

That UT insider is saying O is going to UT. At this point, I'm not sure what to believe. The only thing that is certain is that Mallory and Peveto are gone. But Lane hasn't done anything from what I know.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have absolutely no inside information and absolutely no basis for these claims. So I'll share w/ you what I don't know.
It's a lock that Les is going to retire and Jimmy Johnson is going to come out of retirement and take over the program. Early word has Troy Aikman taking over as OC and QB coach.

i'm confident as of noon yesterday mallory was leaving.
As of four today b.d.p. was accepting the n.s. st job., walker had indeed been contacted. They have talked to O, want O, and the offer is d.l., recruiting cord, and asst. head coach. Miles would release a short list once b.d.p. and mallory info go's public.
once i was told this, b.d.p. and the n.w. st. job broke in the media within 30 min.

This would be a great deal for O. Would not be surprised if he took it.
Also, I believe you that Mallory is gone. Again not knowin, I suspect both of these deals have been in the works for a few weeks. Is that correct?

How is it that the Journalist are fairly confident this or that is going to happen, but local sources here on the board are sure, but not 100%, not sure

no, I still haven't heard what Orgeron's response was to the offer...Still no offer or anything like that for the DC, but still hearing Miles first choice is Chavis
