Just got new info, the two guy's are definately chavis and walker for d.c., they are waiting on O.
don't anticipate any new info as they are going home for the day, they fly out at 1 p.m. christmas.
not much info, nothing we really didn't already know. Just got the info and passing it along.
regardless, looks like les will make a quality hire.

I don't know, his source is probably different from mine. I just got a call and was told chavis or walker.
now, if things fall through with both of them does that mean tenuta gets an offer?

Why is that I wonder?
Usually you pick your guy and offer, and you hear back fairly soon. they turn it down, he go to contestant number 2. I guess the coaching fraternity works differently..
It seems in this case, both have offers and the one that says yes first gets the job?
I am sure that isn't the way it is working,but you know following Les's footsteps has been remarkably difficult

I would imagine from everything that i have heard, that chavis is the first choice and if he were to turn it down or go elsewhere walker would get a offer. I am sure they gauged his interest to make sure they can rely on him incase.

Likely because Coach Miles keeps information about the status of talks extremely confidential. To do any differently would run a very great risk of something being leaked, broadcast al over message boards, radio talk shows, etc. Probably safe to say that what's "out" is what he wants "out." He is a great believer in the proposition that the only way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone.

Bingo, we have a winner. I can tell you that b.d.p. wife did not know as of last week. She was upset because they didn't know if they were keeping they were staying or not. She wanted to know so they could pursue other opportunities.
Well, it appears les did let b.d.p. know but b.d.p. was told not to tell his family. I can assure you she was in the dark as of 10 days ago.
He is a great believer in the proposition that the only way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone.

i think this is true with all his assistants.... i talked with one of the coaches wives the other day. they either don't know or have been told not to say a word... i don't doubt the coaches have been told not to tell their families...
